Update on the Maine DEP Notice of Intent

The LSLA Board has been in further contact with the Maine DEP regarding their proposed use of a herbicide treatment to eradicate milfoil from the “canal” area at the southern end of the middle lake.  Due to the time needed for the DEP to conduct a review with the Toxicologist from the Maine Board of Pesticide Control, and address the concerns and questions raised during the July 28th Zoom meeting, the proposed treatment has been postponed until 2026.  The Board will continue to keep you updated on this matter.  Unfortunately, the DEP has informed us that, due to an error, there is no recording of the July 28 Zoom meeting.

Sincerely,

The LSLA Board
