Am I My Brother's Keeper?  News Story
Tuesday, August 21, 2001

When it comes to milfoil, the answer is YES! There are many places on the lake where there is limited use and little wave action. These are prime spots for a possible milfoil infestation. Fragments drift in and with no one using the waterfront, they gain a foothold. After a period of time, you have a large plant with rapid growth taking hold. It is still a fixable problem, if some observant person spots it. You may patrol your waterfront with great zeal, but what about your neighbors. This may be a new way to establish better relationships and protect our lake in the process. Helping each other helps us triplefold. Be a good steward of this wonderful lake!
