Plant Identification Class a Rousing Success!  News Story
Sunday, August 1, 2004

* The Invasive Plant Identification Class sponsored by the Little Sebago Lake Association on July 10th directly after the annual meeting was a rousing success. The meeting was held from 1-3 at the VFW Hall behind the Hannaford Supermarket. The first predicted number to attend at less than 20 soared to over 40 after a passionate speech by Doug Burke at the meeting urging people to get involved and participate in saving our lake. And they came and came! Robert Hill, our instructor was in top form as she went over the different kinds of invasive plants. Hands on plant material was also provided at the end of the class for folks to have a true idea of what invasive plants really look like. The LSLA provided a light lunch and participants were most apprecative. Thanks to all who attended and Roberta for her usual wonderful job.
A special thanks to Christine Godfrey for her great planning for our lunch and all the hard work to get it to the VFW hall.
